WE DON'T BUILD SPACESHIPS. WE ARE SPACESHIPS.

DATE:SEPTEMBER 3RD, 2014

Improvisation is the best part about deejaying for me, and it’s the most fun at peak-time when the crowd is worked up and hungry. It isn’t atypical of me to pull out the funky shi*t right after some droned-out techno, and it’s 100% normal for the crowd to love it all the more. Here’s some tunes from recent DJ sets that I’ve been asked about. – Norcotiq

JUMP TO:

Adapter

Dangerous Girl

When I first heard this, I wanted to make sure I dropped it somewhere in the middle of a Cosmic Disco party and I happened to have the chance to do just that.

Owiny Sigoma Band

Nyiduonge Drums

I’m in love with this band and try to squeeze in their tunes whenever I can. My favourite so far.

Wax Poetic

Tonight (Rob Garza mix)

From my opening set for Dousk, a great tune that balances the energy in the room. Dancers really have fun with this too.

Tommy Largo

Funked Up

The closest I could get to Largo’s 'Gangsta Shit' (n/a online), a tune that worked great at peak-time during a Sundowner with SpaceJams and Folic State.

Mollono.Bass & Ava Asante

Here We Go Again Mamazita

A really fun song to play out, and one that always brings all the girls to the yard. This one was early on at the Sundowner in Andheri alongside the homeboys.
